changing tuesdays




Many believe Monday to be the toughest day of the week, but I vehemently disagree. Tuesday is that day for me.  It seems that on Tuesday, the alarm rings earlier.  The shower heats up slower.  My pants are tighter.  Traffic is more hectic.  Only on Tuesday.  Take today for instance, I woke up at 6:22 am, and that's the time I am usually arriving to work.  And did I mention that I'm a teacher?  Well, let me just tell you, it's no fun to have to rush to work only to arrive there to wait in a carpool line.  Why can't kids ride the school bus?   I think it is safe to to say that Tuesday is but a second Monday without the weekend to prepare for it.  An unnecessary day really.  And just so you know, if anyone ever grants me carte blanche, I will create a week that consist of 2 Saturdays and no Tuesday.  Until that happens, I have to fill my wondering mind with positive thoughts and hope that no one pushes my buttons.  I was not the kindest person today, but I made the best of it.  I danced to the various sounds of the copy machines and laughed at myself.  It was quite uplifting.  Most important, I realized that everyday is what I make it.  So starting today, I changed my opinion, and from now I'm changing my Tuesdays.
